The Blackscale Blades are a mercenary company based out of Absalom who, until some point recent to 4713 AR, worked closely with the former Chelaxian aristocrat Lord Emilano Doreset. The Blackscale Blades had guarded Lord Doreset's tower-vault Hawkthorne's Shield and helped retrieve a sizable hoard taken from a defeated dragon in a set of ruins near Absalom. While trying to help Lord Doreset apprehend the con artist Tarrant Liespinner, it was revealed that he had embezzled large sums of gold whilst acting as their patron.
