Born in 4683 AR, Brinian Aldori is one of the youngest members of the Aldori Sword Pact. He is the second son of a minor noble of Rostland and apprenticed to a swordlord who indulged in swordplay, the art of the duel, and wine, women, and song. This hedonistic training did little to instill in young Brinian a core set of values, and as such he has a arrogant personality, taking offense and ready to slight others without second thought.

Brinian currently works as a retainer with a older noble in Rostland. He acts as the old man's champion, who takes Brinian with him in his travels around the great cities of Inner Sea. This gives the young swordlord ample opportunity to practice his skills, swordplay, and romance.

Brinian's character leaves much to be desired. He is lazy, unambitious, and content to indulge his selfish desires. This has not gone unnoticed by the community of nobles and swordlords in Brevoy, and Brinian has acquired the unfortunate reputation of a black sheep and rogue.1
