Bruorsivi

Bruorsivi, or bloodpines, are a species of red-needled conifer trees unique to Iobaria's Finadar Forest. First discovered by Ulfen explorer Finadar, the dried sap of a bruorsivi tree is both highly flammable and long lasting. Locals soak seedcones in bruorsivi sap and place the resulting creation atop of a twig to create wind-resistant torches.

The wood of a bruorsivi is a deep burgundy that brightens when polished and carved, but most use the slowburning hardwood for fuel and heating instead of artistry.
