Catacombs (Arwyll Stead)

Arwyll Stead's catacombs are a network of tunnels and crypts beneath Arwyll Mesa. They were excavated in the early years of Arwyll Stead when the town was little more than Arwyll Estate and the land around it. They have been expanded upon several times and are broad and impressive with 15-foot-tall ceilings throughout. The catacombs are a sacred area for the residents. Most Steaders are cremated and interred in funerary urns within their chambers but some particularly important or wealthy citizens wish to be interred in sarcophagi rather than have their bodies cremated.
