How much crunch should be included? Spell level? Range? Target? Duration? What about spoilers? For example, any description of Recorporeal Incarnation from Pathfinder AP 16 Endless Night could spoil the plot. --Minkscooter 21:12, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
- Hey there Minkscooter, welcome. We've got a no crunch policy that you might want to look at. From what I've seen, spells get a narrative description of their effects, duration and range. As for spoilers, if you feel it's appropriate, use the {{Spoiler}} template at the top of the article. Happy chronicling. --Aeakett 21:38, 31 May 2009 (UTC)
- Thus far we have done very little on spells, magic items, feats and traits for that very reason. If crunchy elements can be described in a way that isn't just "This spell usually lasts a minute per caster level" or "one can usually throw a fireball x feet" then it's all good. But we don't want this to be a repository for game rule content, even if it's cleverly disguised. I would say to use your best judgment. There's nothing on here that can't be undone, so jump in head first and we'll make the best of it. And feel free to ask any questions of those of us with more experience or the community as a whole. --yoda8myhead 03:14, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
