Famished Mind
The Famished Mind is an entity that resides within a citrine sphere of unknown origins, hanging from an overpass in the Kortos Mounts. It was discovered decades ago by a clutch of xulgaths who found a cache of orange crystal shards humming with hunger in their home, and followed the trail of increasingly big crystals, believing this to be a sign from their patron Zevgavizeb. When the xulgaths approached, they were consumed, mind and body, by the Famished Mind, which gained the ability to affect and bind basalt in the process. Now the Famished Mind builds orange and grey xulgath simulacra and sends them ranging across the Kortos Mounts. These simulacra seek to bring prey to the Famished Mind to consume, allowing it to grow in knowledge and subtlety and spread its enigmatic agenda.1
