A gimmerling is a cruel fey shapeshifter who sets traps and deceives victims.1

Appearance

A gimmerling usually takes the guise of a small endangered child to lure and ambush creatures. In their natural form, they are small and clawed fey beings.1

Abilities

Gimmerlings can sense hunger in creatures that must eat to survive. While in their natural form, they can also create terrain that is treacherous to pass through.1

Ecology

Gimmerlings live in urban locations on the Material Plane so they can more easily pursue victims without being noticed. However, they are more common on the First World. They collect tools, weapons, mechanical baubles, traps that it both deploys and pretends to be trapped by, and magical items.1
