Grenades are small, cylindrical, technologically advanced devices designed to be thrown by hand as a weapon or fired from a grenade launcher. If thrown, a grenade must first be primed and then armed before it explodes. Numerous types of grenades exist, each of which deals a different effect when exploding.1
