The Harrowed Society is based in the Varisian town of Galduria and uses the famous Twilight Academy as a "front", concentrating on the mysteries held in harrow cards. This secret society believes that if they manage to decipher the traditional Varisian fortune-teller's tools they will learn the true secrets of reality.[1] Its students are often arcanists who meld psychic magic into their work.[2]
