Help talk:Editing articles
I have a question about the last section "What needs editing". I thought we were using the Stub template and Category: Stubs instead of Category: Articles needing attention. Just checking. --Alfred 13:17, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- You are correct. This was a holdover from using the FRwiki as a guide. It might make sense, though, to create a template like the stub tag that would flag pages which might not be stubs for editing. If there are weird formatting or spelling/grammatical errors, these wouldn't warrant a stub tag, but should be flagged somehow so that we can collectively fix the problems. Category:Stubs could be made a subcategory of Category:Articles in need of attention, though. -- Yoda8myhead 13:51, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- Why flag an article in need of attention instead of just fixing it? Is it just going to be a sort of "To-do list" for us basically? Just trying to make sure I am on the same page. --Alfred 13:59, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- I think a "to-do list" is a good comparison. Sometimes someone might stumble across a messy article and not have time to fix it, but could add a simple {{attention}} tag and leave it for someone else. If the template includes a tag for them to briefly sum up the issue, that's even better. -- Yoda8myhead 14:14, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
