House Varima
House Varima is one of the noble houses of Taldor and are most influential in the mountains northeast of Zimar.12
History
Unlike many other Taldan noble families, House Varima traces their origin not back to ancient Taldor but instead distant Vudra, from whence they emigrated centuries ago. Thanks to House Varima's aristocratic roots, skill in negotiation, and massive network of distant trade contacts, they soon became a regular fixture in Oppara's social scene. Scions of House Varima are renowned for their ability to influence and win over a crowd.1
Leadership
As of 4718 AR, Earl Gahez Varima led the house with a preference for stability and foreign trade over needless warfare and religious oppression. He was also one of the few nobles of Taldor to maintain a relatively cordial relationship with Kelesh. Varima inherited his seat from his father and had served as Taldor's official ambassador to Vudra on two occasions.2
