Incapacitation

From PathfinderWiki

Incapacitation is a trait of magic items or spells which signifies they are potentially lethal or disabling in some fashion, enough to quickly and permanently remove an opponent from a combat. However, if the target of such attacks is significantly more powerful than the incapacitation effect used, they have a much better chance of avoiding any consequences of the attack at all.1

Examples of such incapacitation effects range from the more benign calm emotions spell2 to the catastrophic baleful polymorph spell.3
