Ingver is an honest warrior from White Rook who was a member of a group sent to bring Ellasif Maritsdotter back to White Rook or determine that she was dead. He quit that group, along with Gunnar, Saxo, and Uwe, leaving just Olenka, Jadreck and Declan Avari to rescue Ellasif from Szigo the Man-Eater. He is prepared to speak the truth when others around are silent.¹

Ingvar is a 'grizzled' man who has had his ears and nose eaten away by the frost.¹
