Kobold Press
Kobold Press (formerly Open Design) was founded in 2006 by veteran game designer Wolfgang Baur. The company is renowned for publishing the Kobold Quarterly magazine until November 2012, as well as ongoing patronage projects and several guides to fantasy fiction and game design. Kobold Press has won a number of ENnie Awards for the magazine, patronage projects, the Kobold Guide to Worldbuilding and Complete Kobold Guide to Game Design, and the Kobold Quarterly website itself.
On August 30, 2009, author Brandon Hodge announced that his proposed patronage project, From Shore to Sea, had been approved by Paizo Publishing, LLC to utilize their Pathfinder Chronicles campaign setting as the adventure backdrop. This is the first adventure to be designed for the setting through the patron model. The book was released by Paizo as part of their Pathfinder Modules line in 2010.
