A orb of consumption, a Thassilonian magic item, is a hollow-sphere of pink glass, about the size of a small humanoid's head. When the bearer places both hands on the orb and speaks the command word, all intelligent creatures within 10 feet are attracted to the orb's pulsing light and exhalation sound and try to touch it. The first affected creature to touch the orb has their sanity and life energy drained, making the bearer more charismatic for a few hours.
