A planar carriage can provide safe, reliable travel between planes while also functioning as a vehicle for traveling across a plane. It features magical propulsion and can be piloted by use of a spherical item at its fore. Each carriage is typically styled appropriately to one specific plane.

To initiate planar travel, the vehicle must be moving at its maximum speed on its current plane. Its pilot can specify a precise destination; if one isn't provided, the vehicle arrives at a random but appropriately sized location. Its inhabitants are adapted to and protected from the environment of its current plane, as long as they remain inside it.[1]
