Soulmouth
Soulmouth is a city drifting in the Astral Plane, home to dead souls not yet ready to make their way to the Boneyard.1
Geography
Soulmouth resembles a massive flower with five petals shaped like feathers facing the Inner Sphere, riding on a vortex that funnels souls departing the Inner Sphere along the River of Souls.1
Government
Five yamarajes oversee the operations of Soulmouth, each claiming a single district. They occasionally host elaborate feasts that welcome residents and visitors alike, during which their agents secretly scheme against each other, either directly or through recruited adventurers.1
People
A legion of catrinas watch over the River of Souls and welcome and provide counsel and consolation to those souls who dread the journey to the Boneyard, or who cling to their old lives, inviting them to Soulmouth. As the thoughts of the living echoing from the Inner Sphere become imprinted on Soulmouth's feathers, the catrinas help those souls find the assurances and wishes of their loved ones, allowing them to peacefully proceed from Soulmouth to the afterlife.1
