Adaro & Kaneano

Right just wanted to check this with other contributors, I included a reference to the Mediogalti Islands and Ilizmagorti as they frequently mention shark-men and though they call them Kaneano the way it is worded in Cities of Golarion makes this sound more like a tribe name than the actual species name. Also, and I know we should not assume anything but I cannot imagine there being two completely separate races of shark-men who behave so similarly. I know it never mentions adaro by name but I think its a pretty fair conclusion to reach. Still I would like to hear other peoples thoughts. Perhaps it could be tagged as conflicting canon or something similar.--Cheddar bearer 18:46, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

I've had a look and I agree with your assessment. The name "Kaneano" definitely refers to that particular group. I think it's also reasonable to assume that they are Adaro. I imagine that Paizo always knew that they had shark men, but never had a chance (or need) to name them until they started poking around that part of the world in Serpent's Skull. Or it may have started as an off-handed line that got fleshed out at the appropriate time. At any rate, I think it's pretty safe to say that they are the same. —Aeakett 20:29, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Internal discussion reveals that this is unclear. For the time being assume this is true, though the alignment and flavor are quite different for them. But good catch! —Yoda8myhead 21:04, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
Jinkies, that's awesome (having an insider to check on things I mean)! —Aeakett 22:56, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
