In the foreword of Pyramid of the Sky Pharaoh 4–5, Robert G. McCreary notes that An-Hepsu XI was intended to be the antagonist of the Mummy's Mask Pathfinder Adventure Path (then under the working title of "Mummy's Hand"), but an unexpected mention of An-Hepsu XI as the "Lich Pharaoh" on Osirion, Land of Pharaohs 6 disqualified him as being not "mummyish" enough. This subsequently led to the selection of the relatively undocumented Hakotep I. -Oznogon (talk) 23:31, 9 April 2025 (UTC)
