Position

Published maps conflict on the position of Chesed relative to the Lake of Mists and Veils, the Sellen River, and Sable Barrow.

• The map of Numeria on Numeria, Land of Fallen Stars places Chesed at the southern point of the mouth of the Sellen River, southwest of a peninsula and Sable Barrow. This position is consistent with World Guide 25, and to a lesser extent with the World Guide poster map.
• The city map of Chesed on Land of Fallen Stars 16 depicts Chesed as lining both sides of the Sellen River where it empties into the Lake of Mists and Veils. The Lake is labeled on the map as being the waters on the north shore of the city.
• The map of the Lake of Mists and Veils on They Watched the Stars 76 places Chesed near the coast of the Lake of Mists and Veils, at the center of a peninsula. Sable Barrow is not on this map, but in this position Chesed would be north of the Barrow.
  • This map is generally considered unreliable due to numerous errors in positions and labels for places and settlements, and for inconsistencies in its borders and rivers.
