Talk:Maejerex Steeleye/Conflicts
Broken Bastion
Absalom, City of Lost Omens states that Maejerex destroyed the upper floors of the Broken Bastion clock tower "three hundred years ago" (ca. 4400s) in the building's description on pg. 138 and "six hundred years ago" (ca. 4100s) in Maur Gauthfallow's entry on pg. 339. The two references are specific enough about the damage that they must refer to the same incident, making the conflict irreconcilable without clarification. The book's timeline doesn't refer to this incident.
In writing this article, I used the "three hundred years" reference from the building's entry for being closer to the most relevant description. Resolution would require another source or official clarification. -Oznogon (talk) 17:14, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
Name
The spelling "Maejerex" is the only spelling used in Pathfinder First Edition-era products. In Pathfinder Lost Omens-era products, The Apocalypse Prophet uses Maejerex and Absalom, City of Lost Omens uses two internally inconsistent spellings, Maejerx and Maejeryx, both of which differ from prior usage.
While Absalom, City of Lost Omens is a newer Tier 1 source, its inconsistency and the more consistent usage in recent Tier 1 source Apocalypse Prophet make an official spelling difficult to determine. -Oznogon (talk) 17:14, 27 October 2023 (UTC)
