Sources for Thassilon

Does anyone know if there are other sources that discuss Thassilon? I'm tyring to gather some canon info for running a short "piece of history" adventure.71.115.32.55 05:22, February 20, 2010 (UTC)

The volumes of the Rise of the Runelords Adventure Path are probably the most comprehensive source of material on Thassilon. They contain several articles describing not only the civilization itself, but its magic and rulers and such as well; Burnt Offerings boasts a general overview of the empire, The Hook Mountain Massacre describes how several Thassilonnian sites correspond to locations in modern Varisia, Fortress of the Stone Giants touches briefly on the empire's use of giant slaves, Sins of the Saviors has an article on Thassilonnian magic and runes, and Spires of Xin-Shalast details the AP's big bad in some detail. In addition, the adventures themselves are filled with insight into the ancient culture, especially the final two installments.
Ancient Thassilon also plays an small and indirect role in the conclusion of the Curse of the Crimson Throne Adventure Path, but you can probably get by without it. I also seem to recall the folks at Paizo talking about a sourcebook specifically about ancient empires, but don't know if a book ever grew from those discussions. -- Heaven's Agent 05:50, February 20, 2010 (UTC)
