{{Cite digital game}} is for use when citing video, tablet, or mobile games. It is based on {{Cite book}}, initially taken with permission from the Forgotten Realms Wiki, and Wikipedia's "Cite video game" template. Use this template when you want to cite a game. You can use sub-templates, such as {{Cite digital game/Kingmaker}}, to easily cite certain existing games. If no sub-template exists for the game that you wish to cite, you can still use this template manually.

Usage

Parameters are required unless noted otherwise.

developer
A link to the company or person who developed the game. This is distinct from the publisher.
year (optional)
Year of the game's initial release.
scene (optional)
Title of the scene being referenced, if one can be identified.
level (optional)
Title of the level being referenced, if one can be identified.
title
A link to the game formatted to display its title, such as [[Kingmaker (CRPG)|Kingmaker]].
version (optional)
The version of the game being referenced. Useful to cite, since content can change between versions.
publisher
The game's publisher, which is distinct from the developer.
context (optional)
Relevant context for the citation, if the scene or level is insufficient. This can include a description of the scene, event, in-game work, or dialogue.
