Request to deprecate in article body
Bot-driven recategorization does not work on articles that use this template. For that reason, I propose officially deprecating {{Categories}} and Module:Categories in the body of articles.
To ensure that bots can work efficiently and completely, this template's use should be limited to autocategorization employed by other templates, or if its use there is also inappropriate there then it should not be used on the wiki going forward. -Oznogon (talk) 20:31, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
