On Friday, July 31, Paizo Publishing released the updated Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play (v2.0) which outlines all the official rules for Season One, which begins on August 13 at GenCon. With the release of the highly anticipated Pathfinder Roleplaying Game just weeks away, the updated Guide outlines how existing characters will be converted to the new rules set. Additionally, for the first time in PFS play, non-core material has been opened for play, including additional feats, spells, prestige classes, and equipment, both magic and mundane. Furthermore, the playtest season which comes to a close on the eve of GenCon illuminated a number of areas for improvement, resulting in a revamped prestige system, GM rewards, and expanded access to equipment.
