Yaniel was a famous demon-hunting paladin of Iomedae during the Fourth Mendevian Crusade. After disputes with the crusade hierarchy, she ventured alone into the Worldwound in 4692 AR instead of being excommunicated. She returned two years later leading a band of rescued crusaders. After reconciling with the church, she was slain by Minagho while on her next entry into the Worldwound. Her followers returned her now dormant magical sword Radiance to Kenabres, where it was displayed in the Gray Garrison.
