- The Korvosan Guard manages to kill the Shoanti chieftain Galstak Sevendeaths and capture his body, thereby preventing his eighth resurrection. Without their leader, the alliance of the Sklar-Quah and Skoan-Quah tribes falls apart, ending the Last Shoanti War.1
