In c. 4695 AR, Anngard, a resident of White Rook, was breastfeeding a newborn child. In Ulfen society, mothers may be called upon to wet nurse other infants if a child's mother were to die prematurely. Red Ochme suggested to Ellasif Maritsdotter that Anngard could wet nurse the newly born Liv Maritsdotter after the death of Marit, their mother. Ellasif refused this offer, preferring to raise Liv herself on goat's milk.
