Benthic worms,1 also known as azure worms,2 are cave worms adapted to aquatic and amphibious environments, such as waterlogged caverns and tunnels. They are so named for their deep blue hides.21

Abilities

In addition to the abilities that all cave worms share, azure worms are strong swimmers who use their amphibious nature to ambush unsuspecting creatures. They are especially despised by natives to the Darklands, since a benthic worm's tunneling is often followed by water flooding from its home.23
