The elderly Benton Grone had retired from the Pathfinder Society until the death of his nephew Eldis in 4709 AR caused him to once again become involved. He has continued his nephew's work, studying the Jistkan ruins of Cheliax, even going so far as to pen a book on the matter: The Artificers of Rachikan.[1][2]
Background
After coming out of retirement, Benton began studying the ancient Jistkan ruins of Rachikan, located on Cheliax's southwestern coast. After his good friend Drandle Dreng lost contact with Benton, Dreng sent a group of Pathfinders to Rachikan to rescue him.[3]
