Category talk:Arcane colleges

Request for move

This category should not focus on the ambiguous term "arcane", which now primarily refers to the arcane magical tradition, nor on the term "college" since many of the subjects are not colleges. Suggest renaming this category to a more general term in order to be more inclusive of other kinds of institutions that teach other kinds of magic, which would also better reflect the category's contents.

If categories for institutions that are dedicated to specific magical traditions would still be useful, I would still suggest creating new categories that avoid the term "college" in order to allow for academies and less-formal institutions. Individual articles could be categorized under Category:Universities, or a new Category:Colleges, if such a distinction remains valuable. -Oznogon (talk) 15:23, 29 August 2024 (UTC)
