Ayindilar

Ayindilar elves, also known as cavern elves, are descendants of elves who escaped Earthfall by descending into the Darklands. They live primarily in small, isolated settlements in the layers of Nar-Voth and Sekamina.

History

Similarities in Ayindilar architecture in Nar-Voth and larger abandoned or ruined settlements in Sekamina, including parts of Zirnakaynin, suggest they might have once built them.

Society

Ayindilar elves use magic to create enough food for self-sufficient survival, and the resulting waste also supports other forms of life in the Darklands. They can also, at will, enhance the natural darkness of the Darklands with magical darkness.
