Cheu Chem is a respected servant of the god Irori, also known as the Master of Masters. Cheu Chem is a pavbagha, an ancestry of divine servants that look like white tigers and are sometimes called "ghost tigers", who pursues enlightenment beyond the human form. This is Cheu Chem's fourth reincarnation as a sentient animal, and she can speak more than a dozen different mortal languages. Her multiple incarnations have not softened Cheu Chem as a teacher, and she is renowned for clipping her students over the head with her paw should they show her any impertinence.
