Prince or Lord Dolandryn ruled a realm that today would be within the Verduran Forest in Galt, but his realm was destroyed unknown aeons ago. On a day when the Veldur Clan assaulted his realm, Dolandryn used a new magic pendant to control an army of undead against the invading Veldur. Dolandryn exceeded his capability that day, and his realm fell in a forgotten cataclysm. It became a haunted town full of undead that rose against any interlopers who came to the city. The Veldur Clan's casualties from that battle also rose up alongside Dolandryn's dead. Dolandryn himself became aware of the horror an unknown time later when he arose as a ghost.
Dolandryn remembered that his father was called Telsek, and his grandfather was Nylesos.
Dolandryn's soul, and those of the city's undead guardians, was put to rest when Arcil and Elyana Sadrastis destroyed the pendant in their early adventuring career.1
