Festering Crater

The Festering Crater is located in the southern edge of the ruined elven city of Celwynvian. The crater was created during Earthfall when a huge chunk of rock struck Celwynvian. The crater is filled with water from the underground spring of Verithes Park. A clear waterfall spills into the crater but, most probably, some contaminant in the rock has tainted the water. While the water looks off-putting, it is, for the most part, safe to drink. Animals sometimes stray into the area, and it is not uncommon for bears or other large predators to stalk the watering hole.
