Five Wealdays War

The Five Wealdays War, also known as the War of Five Wealdays, was a violent trade war in which conflicts between merchants over differences in time tracking between cultures escalated into a brief but bloody conflict.

Legacy

To prevent another such war when trade began to extend to more distant continents, trade guilds from all of Golarion's continents (save for Sarusan) sent representatives to Absalom to participate in the Absalom Reconciliation✝ of 1500 AR. The meeting established standard calendars across participating continents to better facilitate intercontinental trade.✝

The Absalom Time Exchange, an artifact capable of translating dates between 50 calendar systems, is one of the few remaining time-tracking artifacts from before the Reconciliation to have survived the war. Some of the systems the Time Exchange can translate have been lost to history.
