A calendar is a system of organizing days across periods of time.1 Golarion uses many calendars, some more widely than others. For example, the Absalom Reckoning system, which begins on 1 Abadius 1 AR as the date of Aroden raising the Isle of Kortos from the Inner Sea, is the most common system in use in the Inner Sea region. In Tian Xia, the Imperial Calendar, which begins in 1 IC with the founding of the historical empire of Yixing, is the most common system in use.2
History
Confusion and fraud involving differences between calendars in trade led to the Five Wealdays War, which itself was followed by the intercontinental Absalom Reconciliation in 1500 AR, which strove to prevent a recurrence of the war as trade expanded across Golarion. The Reconciliation recognized standard calendars across continents to better facilitate international trade.3

Lunar calendar
Just as Absalom Reckoning is based on Golarion's orbit around its sun, some people and cultures use a lunar calendar that dates time using phases of the moon, and where each full moon is given its own name.4
Imperial Calendar
Absalom Reckoning is by no means the only way of counting time on Golarion. On the continent of Tian Xia, the most common dating method is known as the Imperial Calendar, which began at the founding of Yixing, Tian Xia's first empire. As this happened exactly 2,500 years before year 1 of Absalom Reckoning, converting from one date to the other is quite easy.5
Stasian calendar
The Stasian calendar, introduced in Irrisen since the installation of Queen Anastasia in 4713 AR, is also named after the Irriseni queen. The Stasian calendar is 2,700 years behind Absalom Reckoning for unknown reasons; for example, the year 4722 AR is the year 2022 on the Stasian calendar.6
