Galathea is the daughter of the estranged couple of the wizard Baalariot and the witch Hortenza who struggle over custody of the young adult. She resides in her mother's house, a large home in the Isgeri capital city of Elidir, next door to the Temple of Nocticula. She is in love with Didmus, a sorcerer's apprentice.
