A maw of hungry shadows is a grimoire connected to the Netherworld. When a spell invoking magical shadow is cast from it, the spellcaster's shadow extends to engulf and seize a nearby opponent. These shadows blind and drain the creature, and can even teleport the creature to the Netherworld should their attempt to resist the shadows' pull prove to be especially futile.
