Major and minor deities

PathfinderWiki historically subcategorized gods into Category:Major deities and Category:Minor deities. These often mapped to their presentation in sourcebooks (where deities were often explicitly referred to as either "core" or "minor") more than a mechanical determination.

Pathfinder Second Edition does not make a similar determination, and the designation of "core deity" refers mostly to the 20 presented in the core rulebooks of the legacy Core Rulebook or Pathfinder Remaster Player Core and GM Core. However, this designation can be specific to a locale, such as in Tian Xia World Guide's Celestial Court or The Mwangi Expanse, which describe certain deities as more prominent locally or regionally than the core deities of the Inner Sea region-focused core rulebooks. -Oznogon (talk) 17:15, 8 April 2025 (UTC)
