Old Tom

Old Tom is a 20-foot-long sea turtle who lives in a cave beneath the Posh and Turtle, an inn in Korvosa. Patrons can view Old Tom through the establishment's glass floor¹ and feed him through narrow grates.²

Old Tom grew to be too large to leave the cave, which is cleaned regularly via magic by the inn's owner, Thaviun Rigulus. The giant turtle's perpetual captivity has been the target of protests by local itinerant druids.²
