Paaridars are an order of monks who steal other creatures' powers through the ritualistic displacement of their own chakras. The process transforms their qi and bodies into amalgamations of their ancestry with the drained creature.

They are named for Paaridus, the monk who first developed the rituals necessary to draw the powers from a captive creature, and who himself fell into a feral state after replacing too many of his chakras.1

Appearance

A paaridar takes on the physical traits of the creature whose chakras it drains. For example, a manticore paaridar gains the wings, fangs, claws, and spikes of a manticore.

There are no documented restrictions on the types of creatures from which a paaridar can drain chakras; aeon, dragon, or minotaur paaridars are all possible combinations.1

On Golarion

Paaridars exist on the island kingdom of Jalmeray.2
