Patroclus Jeggare was a patriarch of House Jeggare and a guardian of his bastard aiuvarin grandson Varian Jeggare. Despite his reputation for venerating propriety, Patroclus educated Varian as a boy and eventually named him the sole legitimate heir of the estate.

Relatives

Patroclus Jeggare was a widely respected member of House Jeggare. He was the father of Pontia Jeggare and grandfather of her bastard son Varian Jeggare, who was conceived from a dalliance between her and the elf Variel Morgethai. Varian believed that Pontia's bearing of an illegitimate child had "broken (Patroclus') heart", and that her declaration that she would not marry or bear more children further damaged her relationship with her father.

Nonetheless, Patroclus educated Varian in House Jeggare's relations and holdings over three years, then legally and permanently declared Varian to be his legitimate heir, defying other branches of House Jeggare.
