Spirit trumpet
A spirit trumpet is a telescopic tin horn made of concentric cones. During a seance, a spirit trumpet can amplify the voices of spirits in a haunted place. If used outside of a seance it can help disprove magical auditory illusions, such as those created by ghost sound and ventriloquism spells.1
As a magic item
A trumpet of spirit speaking is a magical spirit trumpet that facilitates communication with a corpse's spirit.23
