Talk:A Vision of Betrayal
So, there's a forum discussion on having a list of which map packs and which flip-mats are useable in each PFS scenario, and a Google Doc that strives to collect that information. I was thinking that's the kind of stuff which also might be nice to include here, as it doesn't really spoil the adventure for players, and GMs can use it to help them decide which scenarios they might want to invest in. I've put it in the First Steps scenarios for the time being as a test-case - what do people think about including the information? If it's okay to have it, how do we feel about the format I've arbitrarily chosen?

- In general, I am usually against adding new types or classes of content to the site, because I feel that we already are so far behind adding much needed content in our primary goal. Basically, I don't want to create a whole lot of extra work for ourselves, on top of all the work we already have. The only exception is if the added content would be very useful, or very easy to post, or both. Perhaps we could simply link to the Google doc on our main Pathfinder Society Scenarios page? --Brandingopportunity 19:19, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
- The primary problem I see with this is that we'd need to then add product pages for each of those map packs, and as they aren't canon products, they don't really fit within the Scope of the project.—Yoda8myhead 20:34, 30 August 2011 (UTC)
- where is the discussion? I have a paizo.com list that I have kept updated for over a year Here: [1], it has its own thread in the GM discussion area... I just did a quick glance and didn't see the discussion you were talking about -- Cpt_kirstov 11:00, 31 August 2011 (UTC) (signing on talk pages hasn't been working lately last time I got no date/time, and just now it didn't but my name in..)
- The discussion is under the PFS GM discussion heading, in a thread called "List of maps used in PFS Scenarios" It's an older thread, revived with the new releases in August, that has since fallen off the radar. The link to the Google Doc is in the first post. I believe that you actually mentioned that list in the thread, because I've browsed it before - my problem with your list is that it gives the scenarios as a function of flip-mat, which is not as useful for me as the flip-mats being a function of the scenario (if you see what I mean.)
- This is something that I'm personally invested in; I'm here at the wiki mostly for the PFS information that is available in a simple, easy-to-browse fashion. I'm happy to sign up for the job. If the concern is that it will take resources away from other projects - that's only an issue if others get involved in doing it too. I'm not particularly interested in the main projects on the wiki; no offense intended.
- Mark, I see your point, but I'm not sure why it's necessary to create a page for each of the Gamemastery products used in the articles. I think a straight text list is enough information. If we do want to create a link and have the page reference the products, but want to stay in the scope of the project, we could just link them back to the Paizo website/store/product page.
- I suspect you can all see that I'm pushing for this to happen, because I think it's a useful resource for GMs (specifically, for me!) who might be seeking more information about certain scenarios. However, being relatively new to the wiki, I'm totally prepared to be argued out of that point of view.

Bump, bump. Thoughts? Or should I just go ahead and do this? --Feegle 16:52, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
- Until we reach a consensus about whether to include the information or where to put it, perhaps you should compile it in your Sandbox. Then you can copy the relevant portions to their final locations if and when we decide what to do with them. —Yoda8myhead 20:16, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
