Well, I put tiger and dire tiger on the same article and it ended up getting featured. Later did the same with ape and dire ape, bat and dire bat. Debating merging giant ant and army ant swarm. Admittedly it's harder to write a full article for mundane animals, but there is precedent.--Filby (talk) 02:19, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

Yep, I missed those. I see you kept it to one infobox, which is different than what we had here. Giant ant and ant swarm were one of my "inspirations" for separating. I can see advantages to doing it either way. If you do combine those, these should be recombined too, I think. --02:37, 15 November 2012 (UTC)
