Category removal

One of the edits removed category tags from Folca. The canon policy for categorization (https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/PathfinderWiki:Canon_policy#Categorization) is unclear what should happen, but the current phrasing ("Categories are metadata provided by the Mediawiki software and are designed and primarily used to help chroniclers and visitors discover related content on the wiki. They are not intended to reflect the current state of canon; the article content is.") reads to me that it should probably retain the category tags. The majority of the articles in the "removed subjects" category retain them. --Emky (talk) 00:22, 19 April 2024 (UTC)

Folca's inclusion has repeatedly been described from Erik Mona down as an error in retrospect, rather than an intentional inclusion being subsequently revised, so its categories were removed. I agree the policy language is unclear on this. Adding a proposal to PathfinderWiki talk:Canon policy. -Oznogon (talk) 00:34, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
Added a proposal at PathfinderWiki talk:Canon policy that recommends emphasizing that categories should be removed from subjects that official recognition states should never have been canonized or included on PathfinderWiki. This includes Folca and the other articles in Category:Articles about retroactively removed subjects that have already been partially or fully decategorized: Chelaxian (human ethnicity), Cult of the Dawnflower, Mari Lwyd, Nirvana dragon, and Slohr. -Oznogon (talk) 00:43, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
