Talk:Forlarren

From PathfinderWiki

Categorization

Given that forlarrens are classified as fey rather than outsiders, that they do not personally come from the outer planes (rather, one of their parents does) and that they are explicitly the children of fey and of full fiends, might it not be more appropriate to categorize them under the half-fiend subcategory rather than the fiend category the page is currently in? ~User:Theriocephalus, 20:19, 6 November 2018 (UTC)

In the page, I added comment next to the categoies: "In lieu of a half-breed category linked to both, categorize into the components for discovery purposes." Forlarrens are related to fiends and are as fiendish as half-fiends, but being in the category doesn't mean the creature is a fiend. Fiend is also a relatively loose classification and used for other fiendish creatures who are not evil outsiders. Half-fiend is mechanically defined as half-mortal, and I added a disambiguating statement to half-fiend noting this.
I'm still filling in Category:Fiend during work breaks. I'll add a {{WIP}} template to it to help clarify this. -Oznogon (talk) 20:26, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
