Canon conflict resolution proposal

Considering the issues documented on Meta:Heidmarch Manor as a result of an official clarification, I'm inclined to disregard part of the official clarification and instead propose that the wiki treats the following as the conflict's resolution:

  • The text of Pathfinder Society Guide 82–84 should be the primary canonical source for the description of the manor and its grounds, despite conflicting with the official clarification by referencing details unique to it and the discredited Seekers of Secrets.
  • The map in Seekers of Secrets, while consistent with Pathfinder Society Guide, should remain non-canonical per the official clarification.
  • The map of the manor house in Shattered Star Player's Guide should remain canonical only for the manor house and Thassilonian cottages, intentionally disregarding part of the official clarification that suggests it encompasses the manor's complete grounds.
  • The rest of the manor's grounds should be considered to canonically exist, but outside of the boundaries of the Player's Guide map.

This allows the Player's Guide map to serve as the canonical map of only the manor house and cottages, while also allowing the meeting house, topiary maze, and koi pond island gazebo to exist as described in Pathfinder Society Guide as unmapped and ambiguously located parts of the extended estate.

This allows Pathfinder Society Guide, the most recent source of the highest canon tier, to unofficially resolve the conflict in a manner that is consistent with canon references in both Heidmarch Heist and Rise of the Goblin Guild, while still discrediting the map in Seekers of Secrets. This fills the perceived intent of the official clarification without creating more canon issues than it resolves. -Oznogon (talk) 17:45, 5 December 2024 (UTC)
