Incoming canon changes

In Monster Core and the Pathfinder Second Edition Remaster Project, oni and rakshasas will no longer be fiends. This will affect oni-spawn and rakshasa-spawn at a later date. As of today the exact ramifications of this for these heritages are unknown, per James Jacobs. -Oznogon (talk) 19:10, 2 February 2024 (UTC)

Per a recent livestream about the Tian Xia Character Guide, oni-spawn will primarily be referred to as hungerseed going forward, will not be nephilim planar scions, and will instead be a standalone versatile heritage.

(The hungerseed) is not part of the nephilim versatile heritage because oni are no longer fiends, and so the hungerseed versatile heritage is its own separate versatile heritage.
